The older history of Košolná is also connected with specific names and dates. In the 16th century, the Fugger family established fishponds in Košolná. The building history includes the church “Kostol Povýšenia sv. Kríža” in Košolná. It is a Baroque church built in 1732, is in good condition and serves its religious purpose. Its date, classification as a Baroque church and present-day function form a coherent description. The water mill in Košolná, also called “Dolný mlyn”, is part of the same historical picture. It is a Baroque mill built in 1782 and retains its technical equipment. The two buildings are clearly distinguished from each other by their dates and Baroque design.

Music and local tradition

Another cultural facet is associated with the Mazúrovci family music ensemble from Košolná. The ensemble consists of violin, cello and accordion. These three instruments give the formation a precise musical character. Together with the embroidery tradition and the memory of “Betlehemský hlásnik”, they create a picture of local culture encompassing craft, performance and music without combining them into a single tradition.

The blue route 2204 and the green route 5205 remain separate route designations.
