The permanent exhibition “The World of Ancient Ancestors” presents history from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. Another permanent exhibition, “Burgher Housing in Kysuce”, focuses on the history of housing in Kysucké Nové Mesto and Čadca.

Kaštieľ Radoľa was built in the 16th century; the first written mention dates from 1575. Since 1983, the Kaštieľ has housed exhibitions and exhibition halls of the Kysucké múzeum. Kaštieľ Radoľa is one of the few Renaissance monuments in Kysuce and the only surviving aristocratic residence there.

The construction period, first written mention and current museum use mark different historical layers of the same place. The Kaštieľ combines the Renaissance monument created in the 16th century with the exhibitions and exhibition halls of the Kysucké múzeum established there since 1983.

Koscelisko is designated as a national cultural monument under ÚZPF number 10456/0. An important archaeological site is located on the western edge of Radoľa. Among the notable finds from Koscelisko is an 84 mm tall Radoľa or Kysuce Madonna from the 14th century, made of bone. Koscelisko also contains the foundations of a masonry Early Gothic church from the second half of the 13th century.
