Nature

Perișani lies in an intermontane depression. This depression is framed by the ridges of the Munții Negoiului and the Masivul Cozia. The Masivul Cozia is a rocky Carpathian formation. It includes unusual rock formations. Pripoare de Jos is located in the municipality of Perișani, in a gorge. The Valea Băiașului runs through this gorge between the Culmea Mamurilor and the Masivul Cozia. The small gorge of Pripoare lies in the vicinity of Perișani, on the Băiașu stream. It separates the Cozia Massif from the Poiana Spinului ridge.

Thus, several clearly distinguishable landscape features meet around Perișani: a depression framed by mountain ridges, a rocky formation, and gorges with named streams and ridges. Pripoare appears both as a village in the municipality and as a reference point for the small gorge on the Băiașu stream.
