Culture and History

The Muzeul de Artă „Ion Irimescu“ is located in Fălticeni. It is considered Romania’s most extensive collection dedicated to a single artist. The Muzeul Apelor „Mihai Băcescu“ provides scientific and educational information about the aquatic environment. The Biserica „Sfinţii Voievozi - Grădini“ in Fălticeni is a historic monument. The monument dates from 1807. The Galeria Oamenilor de Seamă opened on 16 June 1972. The house in which it opened had been donated by the writers Horia and Vasile Lovinescu. Fălticeni is also home to the Casa memorială „Artur Gorovei“. The present-day Biserica „Sfântul Proroc Ilie“ in Fălticeni was built between 1842 and 1849. In Fălticeni, the Biserica „Sfântul Ilie“ has the longest documented existence among the city’s churches. The Nada Florilor leisure facility has four swimming pools. The facility also includes two fitness rooms. A sauna and a multifunctional sports field are likewise part of the leisure facility. The Parcul de Aventură „Nada Florilor“ opened on 12 April 2026. The facility therefore includes water areas, fitness rooms, a sauna and a sports field; its opening date places the adventure park clearly in time.

Lacul Șomuz is used as a training centre. Rowing teams from Fălticeni and Suceava train there. The lake is therefore associated with rowing and with teams from Fălticeni and Suceava.
