Crasna combines village history, wine tradition, churches and mountain landscapes. The village is home to a village museum in a former Jewish shop. Crasna also has wine cellars; the surrounding area features mountains and a spring. A running competition and an Aeroclubul with an airfield round out the local attractions.

Church, Village Museum and Local History

Archaeological investigations at the Reformed Church of Crasna led to the discovery of 11 inhumations.

The Crasna Village Museum is housed in a former Jewish shop. The former shop provides the architectural setting for the collection. More than 100 everyday objects, pieces of furniture and traditional costumes have been assembled there. Those interested in culture can explore different historical perspectives in Crasna, from the Reformed Church and the archaeological findings to the peasant interior.

A peasant interior from the Crasna area, dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, has also been reconstructed in the central room.

Wine Cellars and Wine Tradition

Crasna has wine cellars that were built one or two centuries ago. The wine cellars house wine barrels. Wine enthusiasts will encounter old cellars, stored barrels and a recurring walk over the hill.

One local custom in Crasna is for residents to walk up the hill once a week to collect wine. Those exploring this aspect of the village will therefore encounter both the cellars and a regularly repeated route over the hill.

Churches Nearby and a Monument in the Surrounding Area

The nearby area of Crasna is home to Biserica Crasna, Biserica Reformată, Crasna, and Biserica Greco-Catolică Crasna.

The Monumentul Wesselenyi Zalău is also located in the area around Crasna.

Mountains and a Spring Between the Surrounding Area and the Region

The surrounding area of Crasna also includes the Măgura Bozna and Măgura Buciumi mountains, as well as the Izvorul Bologuţa spring. The two mountains and the spring give the landscape different forms: mountain ridges stand alongside a single spring location. For those interested in landscapes, the geographical scope extends from the mountains and spring to the more broadly defined Măgura Bodiei in the regional surroundings.

Măgura Bodiei belongs to the wider regional surroundings of Crasna. Its geographical classification is broader than that of the two mountains and the spring in the surrounding area.

Sporting Event and Aviation

The “Run to the Hills” running competition in 2025 included special races for children.

In Crasna, Aeroclubul Deltafly has an airfield and provides aircraft for flights in a powered hang glider or a light aircraft. Thus, in addition to the running competition, aviation is also one of the local activity themes.
