The freestanding Brama Koszalińska is first mentioned in 1453. It stands on Jedności-Narodowej Street, near Basztowa Street in the southern part of the historic city. Brama Słupska is first mentioned in 1458; it stands at the intersection of Basztowa and Skłodowskiej streets, north of the market square and near the bridge over the Moszczenica. The gates offer two different spatial reference points: the streets and southern location help orient you at Brama Koszalińska, while the market square, intersection and bridge are the main landmarks at Brama Słupska. Cycling routes and the Way of St. James
There are two different route options for active days. Nearly three kilometres of cycling routes encircle Sławno. One described route runs from Kościelna Street, past the municipal gymnasium and stadium, along Kąpielowa Street to the Park of the Polish Military Organization. The Pomorska Droga św. Jakuba also passes through Sławno. This gives you two different reference points: cycling routes that circle the town and a named Way of St. James route that passes through it. Cultural history and practical information
Cultural history, too, leads to specific places. The railway station was built in the western part of the city in the 1860s.
