History and Culture

Moryń developed as a medieval town around the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries and was surrounded by stone defensive walls in the first half of the 14th century.

A former foundation established in Moryń by Dr Christian Friedrich Koch was built in 1874 as a home for poor and orphaned children; a monument to the founder and the children stands in front of the building.
