The palace complex in Sztynort is a prominent local example of the French Baroque layout known as “entre cour et jardin” — in English, “between courtyard and garden.” The term refers to the courtyard and garden as the layout’s central points of reference, drawing attention to the ensemble as a whole. The palace park covers 18 hectares and was considered the largest park in East Prussia in the 1770s. Sztynort and the palace park were also associated with oaks.

The eMuzeum Żeglarstwa has a different focus: its multimedia exhibition explores the history of sailing and yacht navigation.
