Zabrowo: Church History and Cycling Routes

Ząbrowo combines a location on the Osa with notable landmarks from its local and church history. There are also several cycling routes that pass through the village along different itineraries. Ząbrowo was founded under Kulm law at the end of the 13th century. The parish was established during the second foundation in 1373. A 23 km black cycling route runs from Iława to Siemiany. Along the way, it passes through Kamionka, Ząbrowo, Szymbark, Starzykowo, Piotrkowo and Szwalewo. The named villages and the two endpoints make the route easy to follow. When planning, it is important to note that it runs from Iława to Siemiany and is not described as a loop returning to the starting point.

Another option is an approximately 20 km circular cycling route starting from Iława. It passes through Szymbark, Ząbrowo, Segnowy, Laseczno and Stradomno before returning to Iława. Unlike the black cycling route, this one returns to its starting point; it also passes through different intermediate villages. The distance of approximately 20 km is an estimate. If you are considering both routes, you can first decide whether returning to Iława or riding all the way to Siemiany better suits your outing.
