Hiking trails and directions
Two trails lead from Skoczów into the surrounding area for a longer hike. The green trail runs via Górki Wielkie to Błatnia/Błotny. It is about 15 kilometres long and takes approximately five hours. These approximate figures give you an indication when planning a longer hike as part of your trip.
The yellow trail leads from Skoczów via Lipowiec to Równica. At about 11 kilometres and approximately four hours, it is shorter than the green trail according to the stated distances and times. Skoczów also has several routes with a different character. The Morcinkowski Trail links places on the town map associated with Gustaw Morcinek. The Greenways route leads to the market square and on to the Muzeum im. G. Morcinka. This is distinct from the Greenway Kraków–Morawy–Wiedeń lowland loop, which passes through Skoczów. Kaplicówka and scenic views
Kaplicówka is a low hill at just under 400 metres above sea level. Its treeless slopes offer views of Skoczów and the mountains. The summit can be reached from the centre via Jana Pawła II Avenue. Market square, town hall and local history
The town hall is part of the historic buildings around the market square, whose medieval layout has been preserved. It was built in 1797, and work on the tower was completed in 1801.
