Cisownica lies in the highest part of the Cieszyńskie Foothills, at the foot of Mała Czantoria in the Silesian Beskids. Czantoria Mała and Gora Chełm are located in the immediate vicinity of Cisownica.

The Zadni Gaj nature reserve on the Zagroń ridge preserves specimens of the European yew; the ridge descends from Tuł towards Cisownica.

History

Cisownica’s historical economy included pastoral farming, a former salt route called “solak”, and local siderite ore mining, which ended in 1870.
