The Izba Regionalna im. Emilii Michalskiej presents the life and work of poet and painter Emilia Michalska, as well as sculptor Ludwik Habarta. It is part of the town’s cultural centre. Another historical landmark is the penitential cross at 58 Katowicka Street. It was carved from a solid block of sandstone in 1645. The cross is considered the last and only surviving witness in Cieszyn Silesia to an old law under which convicted people had to erect a cross at the scene of the crime, at their own expense or through their own labour. Here, a precisely identified location, a specific material and a law passed down through the ages come together. Avenue, cycling routes and water activities
One of Pruchna’s natural monuments is an avenue along Główna Street, consisting of 12 lime trees and 3 oaks that are 150 to 300 years old. The species, number and wide age range of the trees make the avenue a particularly distinctive natural feature of the town. Cycling routes also pass through Pruchna.
