Charzykowy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Charzykowy lies on the shore of Lake Charzykowskie, about 6 km from Chojnice. The lake is one of the larger lakes in the Pomeranian Lakeland, covers more than 1,360 hectares and is up to 30 metres deep.

Water

The Chojnice Sailing Club operates a sailing school in Charzykowy that is open all year round. At Lake Charzykowskie, the ChKŻ marina has more than 100 berths for yachts and motorboats. Charzykowy bathing area is located on the Charzykowy promenade and has a 99-metre-long shoreline. The main beach is adjoined by a sand football pitch, a volleyball court and a multi-level spectator stand.

Boats with combustion engines are prohibited on Lake Charzykowskie; the lake is considered clean in terms of water quality and particularly peaceful. The lake and its surroundings are associated with sailing, windsurfing, motorboating, fishing, horse riding, Nordic walking, cycling and extensive walks.

Trails

The green hiking trail section Struga Siedmiu Jezior begins in Charzykowy and ends in Chojnice. The entire green Struga Siedmiu Jezior trail passes through Bory Tucholskie National Park near Stara Piła. In addition, the marked hiking and cycling trail Szlak Strugi Siedmiu Jezior leads from Charzykowy towards Chojnice.

The red Kaszubska Marszruta route begins at the promenade in Charzykowy and ends in Czersk. It is a signposted cycle route with a low level of difficulty and runs along separate cycle paths with gravel, asphalt or concrete surfaces. Along this route, cyclists can discover Kashubian art and culture.

Culture and History

Charzykowy has a maritime heritage connected with the Chojnice Sailing Club. The club was founded in 1922 by Otton Weiland and is considered the first sailing club in independent Poland.

Charzykowy is connected to Chojnice by bus.
