Stawy Raszyńskie Nature Reserve protects breeding habitats for many rare bird species, as well as feeding and resting grounds for migratory birds. In Młochowski Łęg Nature Reserve, the protected area covers 12.04 hectares; most of it consists of riparian woodland communities in the Utrata valley. These are suggested routes, offering two different directions for exploring on foot.

You can explore the nature trail along the Utrata on foot or by bike. Interactive educational stations, bird nesting boxes and insect hotels line the route. Other features include a dendrophone, a free-to-use viewing telescope and wooden boardwalks by the ponds. The trail combines exercise with stops where nature observation alternates with opportunities to learn.

Museums, History and Folklore

Muzeum Dulag 121 explores history through a main exhibition featuring accounts by former prisoners and people who helped them, as well as historical photographs, letters, documents and authentic objects. The museum regularly hosts history exhibitions, concerts, lectures, film screenings, commemorative evenings and meetings with historians, writers and artists. The exhibits and events offer different ways to engage: you can focus on historical records or choose a cultural programme.

The permanent exhibition “Przedświt – Mazowieckie Centrum Metalurgiczne z przełomu er” uses original artefacts as well as film and drawing reconstructions, copies of artefacts and multimedia. Games and puzzles for children are also among the exhibition formats. Centrum Folkloru Polskiego „Karolin“ invites visitors on a colourful, musical journey through the folklore surrounding the „Mazowsze“ ensemble. Karolin is located in the village of Otrębusy; the journey from Warszawa Śródmieście WKD station to Otrębusy WKD station takes 36 minutes.
