The roadside chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lipno was built in 1933. On 6 September 1933, it was established as a public chapel. The roadside chapel belongs to Roman Catholic sacred architecture. In the register of monuments, the roadside chapel erected in 1933 is listed under number A-796; the register entry is dated 21 April 2008.
The Chapel of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lipno was canonically established as a public chapel on 20 January 1953.
Władysław Jędruszuk, regarded as the first bishop of the Diocese of Drohiczyn, was born in the village of Lipno on 19 November 1918. The first written references to Lipno date from the 15th century.
