A cross-shaped natural-stone memorial stands on Dorpsstraat in Koekange. The monument commemorates all fellow citizens who lost their lives during the war in the former Dutch East Indies and generally serves as a memorial to the Second World War. The Blikmuseum at Landgoed Welgelegen offers an unusual glimpse into regional everyday culture: it displays around 2,000 tin cans, including cans from Dutch brands and an old tin-can steam locomotive. Groups can visit the Blikmuseum year-round by prior arrangement.

The recurring walking event “Van Schakel tot Schakel” offers several routes through the immediate surroundings of Koekange.
