Ripaioli was occupied for one year by Perugian troops under the command of Monaldo Brancaleone, the mayor of the city of Perugia, and was returned to Todi in August 1314. The earliest pastoral visitation that can still be documented is dated 30 April 1567, was conducted by Bishop Angelo Cesi of Todi and began in San Sisto, which was the parish church of the Castello di Ripaioli at that time.
