The Parco Faunistico del Monte Amiata was established in the 1990s on the initiative of the municipality of Arcidosso to protect the animal and plant species found on Monte Amiata. A trekking route through the park lasting approximately three hours leads to the summit of Monte Labbro; from there, the view extends across the entire valley to Argentario. Castles, monasteries and art
Rocca Aldobrandesca is one of the oldest and best-preserved medieval castles in the Amiata area. Its construction probably began around the year 860 on existing buildings dating from the Lombard period. The Museo del Paesaggio Medievale is located on the top floor of Castello Aldobrandesco in Arcidosso.
