Buildings with medieval architectural structures have been preserved in Posada’s historic centre. You can stroll there through cobbled lanes and along colourful walls. Around 7 kilometres of cycling routes connect the historic centre at Piazza Coghe Fae with access to the sea at Su Tiriarzu and the harbour. Castello della Fava and living traditions

The preserved keep of Castello della Fava is around 20 metres high and contains cisterns, storerooms and stables. From its elevated position, Castello della Fava could control the surrounding plain, the mouth of the Rio Posada and a broad stretch of Sardinia’s east coast. The castle also includes exhibition areas. An especially significant cultural period in the town is the celebration in honour of Saint Anthony the Abbot: it takes place in mid-January and includes large bonfires, processions and tastings of sweets such as Cogoneddos and Aranzada.
