The Rete Sentieristica Villanovese runs along Monte Calvario. It can be used on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The Via Crucis of Monte Calvario also leads up the mountain from Villavecchia, passing 14 stations with fresco-painted pillars. The historic Parrocchiale di Santa Caterina is the oldest building on the square in Villavecchia, which was formerly called Piazza Maggiore. The former name Piazza Maggiore is therefore part of Villavecchia’s history. Another religious building is the Parrocchiale di San Lorenzo. It was built between 1820 and 1833 to a design by the architect Silva in the Neoclassical style.

The Parrocchiale di San Lorenzo also has an organ created in 1925 by Francesco Vegezzi-Bossi from Centallo, with 1,580 pipes, 28 stops and a pedal division with 30 notes. The organ adds a historic instrument to the church building. The former Confraternita di Santa Croce is an example of Piedmontese Baroque architecture and a work by the architect Bernardo Vittone.
