The Parco della Villa Lauri is recognised as particularly worthy of protection because of its lush vegetation, consisting mainly of oaks and firs, and its unusually beautiful landscape. Villa Lauri itself was built in the mid-18th century to a design by the architect Ireneo Aleandri. The estate covers seven hectares and is largely covered by dense woodland.

Among the notable religious buildings is the octagonal Chiesa della Madonna della Pace. It was built in 1644 on an old tower and preserves a valuable 16th-century fresco. The neoclassical Collegiata di San Biagio has a floor plan in the shape of a Greek cross and a large dome decorated with frescoes by Virginio Monti. The entrance has a ramp and is accessible to people with physical or motor disabilities.

The Chiesa di Santa Lucia in Sylvis also combines architecture with the area's older history: it was built in the 13th century on the remains of the medieval Castel Gualdo castle and is included on the list of monumental buildings in the Marche region. The original Chiesa di Santa Maria del Trebbio was built in 1587–1588 to house an image of the Blessed Virgin of Mercy. The church and monastery of Santi Francesco e Antonio preserve works by Lorenzo D’Alessandro. The monastery of San Giuseppe was founded in 1556.

History, museums and distinctive buildings

Pollenza's history stretches from antiquity to the modern age. Monte Franco has yielded a necropolis dating from the 9th to the 7th century BC. The Roman sacrificial altar in Pollenza is considered a rare epigraphic and religious testimony to the Roman presence in this area. The Teatro Giuseppe Verdi was inaugurated in 1883. Palazzo Narducci is a 16th-century building distinguished by a stone portal with diamond-shaped bossage.

Another historical point of reference is the Battle of Cantagallo, which took place on 2 and 3 May 1815 in the areas around Pollenza and is regarded by many scholars as the symbolic beginning of the Italian Risorgimento. The Chiesa di Santa Maria Ausiliatrice di Cantagallo is a memorial ossuary honouring those who fell in this 1815 battle. The Abbazia di Santa Maria di Rambona dates back to the 9th century. It is closed to the public due to repair and restoration work following the 2016 earthquake; this status is dated 5 December 2024.

The Museo Civico in Palazzo Cento displays an art gallery, a collection of local ceramics, historic furniture and archaeological finds. These include Roman mosaics and statues found in Montefrancolo. The museum also includes ceramics produced in Pollenza between 1810 and 1905. The Museo “Vite da Vespa” focuses on rare models, historical archives and objects related to the Vespa scooter. Guided tours of the private Vespa collection are available year-round by prior reservation. Studio Failla reopened to the public in 2017 after restoration.

Craftsmanship, walking tours and regional cuisine

At the beginning of the 16th century, ceramic production developed in Montemilone, present-day Pollenza. This craft tradition continues to shape discoveries today. The Esposizione di Antiquariato, Restauro e Artigianato artistico takes place every year and transforms Pollenza into an open-air exhibition. The “Le vie dell’artigianato” walking tour takes visitors to the most important workshops of local craftspeople, who showcase their craftsmanship, in some cases passed down through generations. The “Impara l’arte…” experience allows visitors to work alongside experienced master craftspeople and learn restoration techniques as well as methods for making handcrafted objects.
