Hiking between Sant’Antonio, Motta and Prabello

The route leads from Sant’Antonio via the “Sentiero del Latte” to Motta di Caspoggio. The return journey can take the form of a circular route via Prabello and Santa Elisabetta. The Ferrata Vigneron in Caspoggio is a sporty, vertical and exposed via ferrata without any particular technical difficulties. Long vertical slabs are extensively secured with metal staples and a tightly tensioned cable. The entrance is located near the Castello district in the municipality of Caspoggio. Parking is available near the roundabout on the provincial road through Valmalenco, at the turn-off for Caspoggio.

Local history along the routes and in the centre

The ruins of the ancient Castello di Caspoggio can still be seen in the woods of Castello in Caspoggio. The “Una storia in cammino” route includes a path to Castello di Caspoggio. Another way to explore the town’s history is the “Erminio Dioli pittore” walking tour, which leads through Caspoggio along urban streets.

The historic centre is home to the medieval “Truna”, a group of adjoining houses with only two openings for entry and exit.
