The Pista Stelvio was inaugurated in 1982 for the first edition of the World Series. The Pista Stelvio is 3,250 metres long, has a vertical drop of 1,010 metres, starts at an altitude of 2,255 metres and ends in the heart of Bormio at 1,225 metres.
