In Tihany, the Levendula Ház uses an interactive exhibition to explore the formation of the peninsula and lavender cultivation, and also offers a craft workshop and an experience garden.

For a family outing, Veszprém Zoo offers more to explore: the Dinosaur Park features lifelike models, and children can take part in a real archaeological excavation. The African Savannah Playground includes zip lines, climbing frames, bouncy castles and a safari-striped airplane.
