Brixton Windmill was built in 1816 and is a Grade II* listed windmill. It offers baking and milling workshops and organises guided walks and tours on its opening days. The electrically powered millstones are used by volunteer millers to produce Brixton Windmill flour.

Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens were a Lambeth and London institution from the 1660s until 1859. They combined planted walkways with musical performances, spectacular events, fireworks, balloon races, and food and drink.
