The shorter of the two routes with stated distances is the 11 km-long Großer Haderholz route. It leads between Seligenthal and Kleinschmalkalden to geological features and viewpoints around Haderholzstein.
For those who would like to include a learning element in a hike, the Kleinschmalkalden Volcanic Trail is a family-friendly route that offers insights into the region's volcanism. The Luther Trail passes through Floh-Seligenthal and offers beautiful views of the municipality along the way through dense forests.
Festivals and culture
The Bergseefest at Lake Bergsee Ebertswiese takes place every year one week after the summer solstice. The festival features music by local music associations and choirs, as well as a program organized by local clubs.
