Zeulenroda’s Neoclassical town hall was built between 1825 and 1827 to plans by Christian Heinrich Schopper (1787–1864), a Zeulenroda hosiery manufacturer.

On a guided tour of Zeulenroda, visitors learn how the figure at the Karpfenpfeifer Fountain got its nickname. The Karpfenpfeifer itself is a popular photo opportunity.
