Culture
The village character is defined by traditional brick buildings, some with thatched roofs along the main roads, as well as a historic village centre. Around 1940, Kannenplatz was the centre of the village; workshops belonging to shoemakers, blacksmiths and carpenters were located all around it. The bakery at Kannenplatz was built between 1998 and 2000 on the initiative of Hans-Werner and local volunteers. Hans-Werner and local volunteers also restored an old equipment shed and converted it into a café.
The war memorial in Delingsdorf has remained almost unchanged to the present day. In the village's multipurpose hall, DeliKino shows two films for children and young people approximately every eight weeks.
Nature
The traditional Knicks, meaning the hedgerows on banks typical of the landscape, have largely been preserved in Delingsdorf. History
The documented history of Delingsdorf begins with the first documentary mention of the village as “Dedelmestorpe” on 21 March 1327. The Hamburg–Lübeck railway is part of the documented transport history: it opened to traffic on 1 August 1865.

The agricultural character includes Buchenhof Delingsdorf. The farm keeps Angus, Longhorn and Wagyu cattle outdoors all year round. A small farm shop sells organically certified meat directly. Visitors are invited to look around Buchenhof.
