Heligoland: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Heligoland is a destination with its own character and several different facets. Between coastal landscapes, island history, nature observation and maritime everyday life, there are various starting points for planning your trip.

Nature and Trails

Heligoland has three themed walks focusing on the island’s nature, culture and history. Part of the Upper Land Route runs along the cliff edge as a circular trail lasting approximately one and a half hours.

At the northern tip of Heligoland stands the sea stack, which has been a landmark of the island since 1865. A seabird colony with around 10,000 pairs every year, including common guillemots and northern gannets, is located nearby.

Culture and Local Cuisine

The maritime area around Heligoland’s inner harbour offers art, culture and culinary specialities such as Knieper, or crab claws. Local cuisine is therefore also one of the defining aspects of a stay, without being separate from the island’s cultural impressions.

Geographical Location

Südstrand is located near Heligoland. Nordstrand is also located near Heligoland. Heligoland itself is located near Heligoland, as is Düne.

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Heligoland can then continue searching for accommodation.
