Hiking

The Wesenitztalweg runs from Großharthau railway station along the Wesenitz to Stolpen and is approximately 8 kilometres long. The West Lusatia section is marked with a green stripe. The trail is part of the longer Wesenitz hiking trail, which leads from the Wesenitz source in the Hohwald to its mouth into the Elbe in Saxon Switzerland.

For much of its route, the Seeligstadt-Frankenthaler-Weg passes through the Massenei woodland and is marked with a green stripe. It passes the Wolfgang Marschner bench; Popeldamm Pond is located directly on this trail. At the Große Stern waymark, there is a rest area and an information board. At Beigut, the Seeligstadt-Frankenthaler-Weg ends with a connection to the Gruna hiking trail. There are also onward connections towards Rammenau and Bischofswerda.

The hiking connection between Großharthau and Großröhrsdorf connects to the Westlausitz Circular Trail and the Lichtenberg Trail. At Großröhrsdorf railway station, this connection meets the Wesenitztalweg; public transport is accessible there.
