The Europa-Rosarium in Sangerhausen serves as a gene bank and living museum and documents the development of roses from wild species to modern varieties. More than 8,700 rose varieties and species are presented there in a display of form, color, and fragrance. The Europa-Rosarium is also described as the largest rose collection in the world.

St. James’s Church is a late Gothic, three-aisled hall church built between 1457 and 1542. Its 61-meter-high tower leans 1.71 meters to the west and bears a gilded moon clock. Nature
The Hohe Linde circular trail starts and ends at Sangerhausen railway station and is 10.5 kilometers long. It leads through mixed forests and meadows to the Hohe Linde mining landscape.
In Sangerhausen’s Wettelrode district, hiking trails connect the Kalmusgrund landscape, the Kunstteich pond, the mining educational trail, and historic mining features.
