Helferskirchen: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature

Helferskirchen is a resort located between the Kannenbäckerland and the Westerwald Lake District. Coniferous and deciduous forests surround the village.

Culture

The Catholic Church of the Assumption combines a Romanesque west tower with a Late Gothic upper section and an octagonal spire. The nave was rebuilt in 1769 following a fire in 1768; the Baroque high altar and pulpit have been preserved inside.

The church also contains an almost unaltered Schöler organ from 1785, originally from Bad Ems, which was later expanded with a second manual. Several half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries stand in the historic village centre. Their traditional infill consists of straw and clay, and the roofs are covered with slate.

Hiking and Cycling

Helferskirchen is connected to the WR11, WR12 and III hiking trails, as well as to the Aubachroute cycle route.
