Nature and Trails
Südeifel Nature Park Route 39 circles the summit of Gayberg and runs mostly along forest paths. It passes the Geichlinger Bach and Gaybach streams as well as the outskirts of Geichlingen, through green spaces and orchards. It also passes chapels and wayside shrines.
Südeifel Nature Park Route 40 starts and ends at the village community centre in Geichlingen. It crosses the village and the southern heights, uses mostly field paths with unobstructed views, and leads across extensive fields and meadows with repeated ascents and descents. Through an avenue of trees, the route descends into a valley with woodland, a stream and cattle grazing on spacious meadows.

History and Culture
Geichlingen was mentioned in written records in 1096. The first settlement can be traced back to Roman times. Uneven ground has been preserved south of the present-day village near Klosbüsch.
At St. Lawrence Church, the lower section of the tower is probably the oldest part. The church was mentioned in a visitation in 1570.
