Enkirch: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The oldest documented half-timbering in Enkirch is located in the Heimatstuben Museum and dates from around 1395. The Evangelical Church of Enkirch has evolved through repeated renovations over more than 800 years. It is a fortified church; two loopholes are located on the ground floor of the tower area. The Stumm organ in the Evangelical Church was built between 1754 and 1761.

Historic wineries as well as monastic and manor estates in Enkirch are marked with Hellerkunst signs, which explain their architectural history to visitors.

Trails and Landscape

The Enkirch Gäßchen Circular Trail leads through hidden corners along historic paving, on paths, over steps and through old fire lanes. Enkirch also has more than 90 km of marked hiking trails along the Moselle, through vineyards, across the Moselle heights and through stream valleys with old mills.

The Moselsteig presents Enkirch as a wine village with many half-timbered houses. In the Enkirch section of the route, the Moselsteig crosses a side valley and then continues through vineyards. There, the route passes through narrow lanes and crosses the Großbach on a footbridge.

Wine and Cycling

Enkirch offers cycling routes along the Moselle, through vineyards, past villages and along the riverbank. Visitors can take part in a vineyard experience in Enkirch and earn a Wingert diploma.

On the Road

Enkirch has a motorhome parking area directly on the Moselle. The site has space for around 200 motorhomes.
