Feilbingert: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Feilbingert combines the Lemberg’s landscape with varied trails, mining history and regional wine culture. The 13.5-kilometre premium trail Vitaltour Geheimnisvoller Lemberg leads along alpine paths and to panoramic views, historic mining remains, the Schmittenstollen visitor mine and through the Trombach Valley. The trail also passes directly by the Rapunzelturm, which can only be reached on foot. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Feilbingert can continue their accommodation search afterwards.
Nature and Trails
The Lemberg protected area covers around 240 hectares and lies entirely within the municipal boundaries of Feilbingert. Along the route from Oberhausen to the Lemberg, oak-hornbeam forests grow with extensive spring blooms of squill (Scilla).
The Feilbingert Panorama Trail is an approximately 9-kilometre circular route for hiking, jogging, Nordic walking and cycling, with moderate inclines. There are regular benches and rest areas along the route; the trail is well signposted and can be shortened for individual route planning. The XXL Panoramic Bench is reached via the K83, while the Panorama Trail passes directly by it.
The 3-kilometre family trail “Find Lemi” follows a forest path with viewpoints and a discovery feature for children, where they can find the hidden figure Lemi.
History and Culture
The Rapunzelturm was converted into a lookout tower with a spiral staircase. From there, views extend towards Duchroth and Oberhausen an der Nahe. The building that formerly stood next to it contains a picnic area. The first reliable evidence of mercury mining on the Lemberg dates back to 1469.
The museum barn, a small local history museum displaying agricultural equipment for visitors, is located on Ringstraße.
Wine and Regional Cuisine
Winemakers from Feilbingert offer tastings at wineries and wine stands. The local inns serve wines from regional winemakers.
The visitor mine grounds include a wine and beer garden with regional specialities and drinks, a barbecue area and a mining-themed adventure playground. Schmittenstollen can be reached by bicycle or car via the K83 towards the Lemberg; a hiking car park is located around 700 metres from the entrance.
