Hiking

The 6.8-kilometre Bänkeltour is a moderately difficult, family-friendly circular trail from the Mandeltal car park to the Ungeheuersee. It leads through wooded sections and over gentle inclines, offers numerous benches and provides access to the Weisenheimer Hütte.

The start of the Mandeltal trail can be reached by bus route 453 from Bad Dürkheim or Grünstadt. From the Bobenheimer Straße stop, the trailhead can be reached via Neumayerstraße and Haalbergstraße; the car park is approximately 300 metres farther on.
