Culture
The oldest house in Obersteinebach dates from 1724. The rows of mining pits and the galleries behind the Heiderhof preserve evidence of iron ore mining dating back 400 to 500 years.
Getting around
Obersteinebach is located approximately 5 km from the Neuwied/Altenkirchen exit of the A3 motorway and approximately 25 km from the Rhine. The GeoRoute area can be reached by bus route 120 from Altenkirchen and Neuwied. In Horhausen, passengers change to bus route 125 to reach the GeoRoute area. A free car park for the GeoRoute is available at the village pond in Obersteinebach.
