Hamm (Sieg) is the birthplace of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen. The German Raiffeisen Museum presents his life and work. The Historic Raiffeisen Route runs from Hamm via Weyerbusch to Neuwied and follows important stations in Raiffeisen’s life and work.

The Sieg Nature Region encompasses wooded ridges and valleys, half-timbered villages, churches, monasteries, castles and museums in a natural and cultural landscape. Hamm (Sieg) is connected with the Westerwald-Sieg holiday region and the Sieg Nature Region.
The Hammer Ländchen is characterised by valleys, hills, steep slopes, rivers and streams. The viewpoint at the Raiffeisen Tower is situated at almost 420 metres above sea level and overlooks Raiffeisenland and the surrounding area.

The Thalhausermühle Forest Swimming Pool has a wooden play ship, a water playground and a shallow pool area for families. The facilities also include a beach volleyball court and a football pitch. The pool can be reached by public transport via the Thalhausen and Breitscheidt bus stops. Hamm (Sieg) also offers fishing opportunities on the Sieg and water-based recreation at the Westerwald’s largest natural outdoor swimming pool.
