Bad Breisig: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Bad Breisig can then continue their search for accommodation. The Römer-Thermen use thermal water from a spring 600 metres deep on their own grounds. The Bad Breisig Fairy-Tale Forest presents 13 fairy tales in painted houses with moving and talking figures; music accompanies the displays along the path. There are two signposted routes there: the Bad Breisig Fairy-Tale Trail and the Little Bad Breisig Fairy-Tale Trail.
The spa gardens include a large climbing facility and a miniature golf course for children. They also offer a diverse and unusual collection of trees, with information boards about individual trees.
Nature
The Bad Breisig–Andernach section of the RheinBurgenWeg offers views towards several castles, the Rhine Valley and a Roman quarry on the Hohe Buche.
The Rheinsteig is nearby and can be reached from Bad Breisig by ferry. It offers more than 300 kilometres of hiking trails with scenic views, as well as more than 40 castles and other structures.
Culture
Villa Luzia is an Art Nouveau villa; its surrounding garden has been protected as a heritage zone since 1981.
The Doll Museum is located in Bad Breisig’s former town hall next to the spa gardens. It displays dolls and toys that reflect everyday life in the late 19th century. Visits are arranged by appointment; admission is free.
Getting around
The Vulkan-Expreß runs nearby from Brohl am Rhein to Engeln in the Eifel. The route crosses viaducts, passes through a tunnel and follows a 5.5-kilometre steep section with an elevation difference of 400 metres.
