Culture and History
The LWL Visitor Centre presents the natural and cultural history of Porta through six multimedia stations. Its analogue and digital information is available in German and English. The ring base of the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument houses a restaurant and an exhibition with panoramic windows.

The Forest Adventure Trail on Jakobsberg is an easy 2.04-kilometre circular route with twelve interactive stations designed for families and school classes. The Weser in Porta Westfalica can be explored by canoe. The Großer Weserbogen local recreation area offers bathing facilities and a campsite. Getting There
The Kaiser Wilhelm Monument can be reached by regional train via Porta Westfalica railway station or the long-distance railway station in Minden. On Sundays and public holidays, Kaiser Wilhelm Line 518 runs between Porta station, the Willem and Kaiserhof car parks, and the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument.
