The “twas duüer - querdurch” nature trail is 9.5 kilometres long. Its 15 information panels are designed for playful learning. The A-loop is around 2,000 metres long and accessible. The approximately 4.4-kilometre Wunderroute follows a circular trail through the surrounding area and is suitable for pushchairs.
The route offers views south across the Ravensberg Hills and the North German Plain. The Bieren church linden tree is described as being 350 years old.
Culture and History
Haus Kilver was first documented in 851. St Bartholomew’s Church has structural fabric dating from the 16th century; its oldest components date from the 12th century. Gut Böckel is a protected historic estate.
