Nature
The Bramschebach-/Nagelsbachtal nature reserve follows the municipal boundary between Herford and Löhne for approximately 6 kilometres and covers 197 hectares. It is a refuge for wetlands and, at the same time, a characteristic, well-developed Siek system of the Ravensberg hills.
Ulenburger Allee is 2.7 kilometres long, comprises around 400 trees and is protected as a natural monument. The protected park at Ulenburg was established in the 19th century and contains a valuable, rare collection of trees.
Getting Around
The Löhne Heritage Route passes Ulenburg Water Castle and begins at Löhne railway station. The station is served by Regional-Express trains from Bünde, Herford and Bad Oeynhausen; bicycles can only be taken on board to a limited extent.
