Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Muffendorf can then continue searching for accommodation. St. Martin's Church, the Teutonic Order Commandery and half-timbered buildings along the main street. Together, they form an appealing urban ensemble that is worth a longer visit.

The churchyard around the Romanesque St. Martin's Church includes an eastern entrance portal from 1697, two half-timbered buildings and around 30 weathered grave crosses from the 17th and 18th centuries. The oldest surviving cross dates from 1626. A votive stone from the 2nd century dedicated to the Roman goddess Diana was also found on the grounds of St. Martin's Church. This suggests that a pagan predecessor building may have stood there.

The HICOG housing estate associated with Muffendorf is a protected modernist residential ensemble from the 1950s. It was designed by Sep Ruf and landscaped according to plans by Hermann Mattern; different types of housing are set within a landscape park. The estate can only be visited as part of officially offered programs. The guided tour is the main visitor format.

In the area surrounding Muffendorf are the Electoral Palace, the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn and the Rungis Meckenheim Eiffel Tower. Blankenberg Castle is located in the wider regional area.

Drachenfels and Sonnenberg are located in the immediate vicinity of Muffendorf. The surrounding area also includes Großer Ölberg and Broderkons Berg.
