The single-nave hall church in Domsühl was renovated around 1840 using medieval remains of its predecessor. It was extended to roughly twice its original length and given a straight-ended choir. Baroque paintings depicting the “Salvator mundi” and eight apostles can be seen in the organ loft. This specific image adds an artistic dimension to the building’s history. Alt Damerow and the Pingelhof

Alt Damerow belongs to the municipality of Domsühl but lies outside the village of the same name. There, a small rectangular half-timbered church stands, probably built before 1700. Its roof turret carries a bell from 1754 and a weather vane from 1791. The church’s date of construction remains uncertain; the dates on the bell and weather vane, by contrast, provide specific points of reference. Compared with the church in Domsühl, the focus here shifts to half-timbering and a small, dated tower ensemble.

In the municipality, the circular hiking trail, also known as the forest trail, leads to the Pingelhof Museum in Alt Damerow. The approximately 10 km route starts at the Garwitz waterside rest area, follows the Müritz-Elde Waterway via Malchow and the Pingelhof, and returns to Garwitz.
