Tewel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

Tewel preserves its historic village character with farmhouses and half-timbered buildings. The restored wedding barn dates from 1777, was brought from Söhlingen on wheels as a bridal gift, and is still used for weddings today.

The village landscape also includes the “Park for Unwanted Sculptures”, an outdoor area enclosed by a white fence with individual sculptures. The site explores how public art is evaluated and placed in new contexts.

At the biotope in Tewel, visitors can see “Holzkristall”, a sculpture by Tony Cragg from the year 2000, created as part of the Kunst-Landschaft project.
