In Bad Rothenfelde, you can walk 50 m through the historic salt-walkway area on wooden walkways and grates without getting your feet wet. The two graduation tower facilities date from 1777 and 1824 and form a large open-air inhalatorium.

The museums also offer a variety of themes. At the Bramsche Cloth Makers’ Museum, fluffy wool blankets are made on working machines that are over 100 years old. At the Museum and Park Kalkriese, exhibits about the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest are presented using multimedia and are open to visitors. The Monastery Museum uses the history of its building to show three periods: the monastery from the 13th to the 18th century, the district and administrative offices in the 19th century, and the museum in the 20th century.

At the Schnippenburg Museum, a public guided tour takes place year-round on the first Sunday of each month at 2:30 p.m. There are also bookable themed tours and museum education activities at the three sites: the museum, the archaeological site and the Iron Age house.
