The Laves Cultural Trail, a cultural and historical circular hiking route, runs around Derneburg Castle through the former English-style landscaped park. Numerous other hiking trails lead from Wohldenberg Castle through the forests of Holle.

For a different kind of tour, try the Holler Church Cycling Route, which connects five Catholic and seven Protestant churches in the municipality of Holle. The two routes clearly differ in how you travel and what you’ll see: one is a hike through forests or a historic park, while the other is a cycling tour between churches. Sottrum Family Park has more than 100 activity stations and adds another destination to the options.

The Glasshouse is a specific landmark for a hike and the starting point of the walk. It is a 15-minute walk from Derneburg railway station. If you plan to travel by train, check current services in advance.
