The villagescape of Nordleda consists of farmsteads, cattle pastures and grain fields. The village has the expansive, linear settlement pattern of a ribbon village, and many of its houses are more than 100 years old. Until the beginning of the 19th century, Nordleda was enclosed by a dike.
Fishing is possible at Lake Flögeln in Geestland, in the Sietland and along the Hadelner Canal, directly beyond Nordleda's municipal boundary.
The nave of St. Nicolai contains a painted wooden beam ceiling, made in 1648 and decorated with biblical paintings in 1964/65. The Röver organ, built in 1889, has 20 stops distributed across two manuals and a pedal. According to tradition, the tower served as a navigational landmark for ships on the Elbe. St. Nicolai also contains a wooden winged altarpiece dating from around 1520, which was transported to the church from Alt-Nordstrand after the storm surge of 1634.
The Klosterhof is a half-timbered building with a thatched roof; its core dates from 1575. It is described as one of the largest marsh farmsteads of the 18th century in what is now the Lüneburg administrative district. Information about visiting St. Nicolai is posted on the notice board at the church office, and visits can be arranged by telephone.
Nordleda is located in the Land of Hadeln, just a few kilometres from the Elbe estuary. State Road 118 runs through the village, connecting Nordleda with Langen, Wanna, Neuenkirchen and Otterndorf. Nordleda can be reached from the B 73 via Otterndorf and from the A 27 via Neuenwalde, Krempel and Wanna. Bus route 1080 runs between Otterndorf and Wanna via Nordleda.
