The Eder Dam: Engineering and Visitor Experience

The Eder Dam was built between 1908 and 1914 and is the region’s landmark structure. The illuminated dam wall is an impressive sight, especially in the evening. At the Edersee Visitor Center, guests can get personal advice; digital information walls and an interactive terminal provide information about the region. The exhibition also features the animated journey through time “Mythos Edersee” and a cross-section of the century-old structure, bringing the history of Lake Eder to life.
