The Hadamar Town Museum is located in the Marstall, a former stable building at Hadamar Castle, built around 1625. Its permanent exhibition explores the town’s past and present. Hadamar Memorial Site

The memorial site is located in the historic building of the former Hadamar killing centre. Visitors can view the historic rooms and walk around the grounds. The permanent exhibition, “Transferred to Hadamar: The History of a Nazi ‘Euthanasia’ Institution,” tells the story of the Nazi “euthanasia” murder programme in Hadamar in 1941 and from 1942 to 1945. The outdoor exhibition “Garden – Institution Cemetery – Memorial Site” explores the grounds of the former institution, particularly the former institution cemetery and the site that was transformed into a memorial landscape in 1964. It is also accessible outside the memorial site’s opening hours. The memorial site is about a ten-minute walk from Hadamar station. The Hadamar Rose Garden was established on the Herzenberg plateau in the mid-1990s. In the summer months, it is known as a destination for botany and rose culture. Cyclists can also connect with the region: long-distance cycle route R8 leads to Hadamar. From there, regional cycle routes branch out for further exploration, connecting destinations in the nearby Lahn Valley and Westerwald. The hiking and cycling trails make Hadamar a good choice for a stay centred on outdoor activity, while museums, a guided town tour and the rose garden offer different options.
